The National Resistance Movement (NRM) Parliamentary Caucus will now take place at the Munyonyo Commonwealth Resort Hotel, leaving the earlier planned schedule for Kololo for musician Ray G to have his concert at the independence ground.
The change of venue was announced by Government Chief Whip Dr Ruth Aceng while speaking to journalists at Parliament on Wednesday morning.
"The Caucus has been shifted to Munyonyo Commonwealth Hotel. We expect all NRM and NRM-leaning Independent MPs to be there by midday because the President and National Chairperson of the Ruling Party will be addressing the Caucus," Dr Aceng said.
She said the larger venue would allow the party to accommodate all members while providing room for other activities planned for the day, including entertainment.

The meeting comes as the ruling party mobilises its members ahead of key government business and party activities in Parliament.
Party officials said the decision to move the meeting was informed by the need for more space and improved logistics to host NRM MPs, NRM-leaning Independent legislators and invited guests.
"Munyonyo gives us the capacity to have everyone seated comfortably, to be addressed by the President, and to have the conducive interaction that members have been asking for," Dr Aceng said.
The new schedules means Ray G will now have Kololo ceremonial grounds to himself after the NRM's earlier attempt to take its Caucus sitting to the ground had created a clash of events.
Ray G, born Reagan Muhairwe on June 12, 1992, is one of Uganda's most celebrated musicians from the Ankole region. He is best known for performing in Runyankore, blending Afrobeat, R&B, reggae and traditional Ankole sounds into what many fans call heritage music.
In October 2022, Ray G became one of the first Ankole-based musicians to perform at a sold-out concert in Kampala when he staged a concert at Imperial Royale Hotel.
He followed the fame on May 10, 2024, when he filled the Lugogo Cricket Oval, an event widely described as his breakthrough moment in Kampala.
The concert in Kololo continues Ray G's rise as a musician in the country with his fanbase has grown significantly over the last four years.
The NRM says its Caucus is scheduled to begin at midday with an address by President Museveni, who also serves as the NRM National Chairman.
