Morocco: Royal Speech Highlights Morocco's Distinctive Position in Its Regional Environment - Italian Think Tank

Rome — His Majesty King Mohammed VI's Throne Day speech highlights Morocco's distinctive position within its regional environment, Secretary-General of the Institute for Cooperation with Foreign Countries Gianni Lattanzio said.

The Kingdom, which enjoys stability, is a trusted regional partner, Lattanzio said in a statement to MAP, noting that the royal speech emphasizes preserving Morocco's achievements, accelerating reforms and consolidating the foundations of inclusive growth.

According to the Italian expert, Morocco has turned its resilience into a driver of progress and international influence.

In the Mediterranean region, this influence is particularly significant, especially as the Kingdom lies at the crossroads of Europe, Africa and the Arab world, he said, adding that this geographical position is coupled with a clear political vocation: fostering dialogue, easing tensions and building lasting bridges between the two shores of the Mediterranean.

His Majesty the King's speech fully reflects this approach by promoting a partnership based on trust, responsibility and balance, Lattanzio noted, stressing that Morocco thus emerges as an indispensable player in ensuring the stability of the Euro-Mediterranean neighborhood.

Addressing the African dimension of the speech, he said that the Kingdom advocates a vision firmly oriented toward the continent, centered on cooperation, integration and shared development.

This approach makes Morocco a leading player in South-South cooperation, he said, explaining that through its investments, diplomatic engagement and ability to reconcile sovereignty with openness, the Kingdom is contributing to the emergence of a more connected, more confident and better-equipped Africa capable of meeting its challenges.
