Captain Morgan is set to bring a high-energy nightlife experience to Makerere University Business School (MUBS) this Saturday, August 29, as the Captain Morgan Takeover takes over the Akamwesi Hostel parking lot.
The event, designed to tap into the campus party culture at the start of the semester, will feature a mix of Amapiano, Afrobeats, dancehall, 3-step and other contemporary sounds popular with young audiences.
The entertainment lineup includes CXJ Powell, Jiran Seyn and beatboxer RK Himself, who will share the stage with DJs Tutu, Wiz J, BonQie Dranix and Dreadlazer.
MCs Josh MC, Ursh Trey and Saint Trevor will host the event, with organisers promising a party experience that goes beyond the music.

Raymond Karama, Captain Morgan Brand Manager at Uganda Breweries Limited, said the event will combine music, drinks and interactive entertainment.
"The music policy is simply a part of the bigger experience. The Captain Morgan Takeover is bringing a wholesome party where the drinks are as spicy and flavorful as the mixes, and the games interactive for you and your crew."
The event will feature a range of Captain Morgan serves, alongside interactive games and photo opportunities designed to create a social-media-friendly experience.
The takeover comes as universities and other institutions return to a new academic semester, traditionally a busy period for campus entertainment and social events.
Organisers say the combination of live performances, DJs, MCs, interactive games and a diverse music programme is intended to turn the Akamwesi Hostel parking lot into a full-scale party venue.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, August 29, at Akamwesi Hostel parking lot, MUBS, Nakawa.
