Members and saints of Shincheonji Church of Jesus Uganda, headquartered in Nansana, joined forces across eight branches in Kampala and surrounding areas to participate in the National Cleaning Day, demonstrating their commitment to serving society and promoting clean, safe and healthy communities.
The cleaning exercise, held on the last Saturday of the month from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., brought together members from Wakiso, Lubaga, Kawempe, Nakawa, Makindye, Makerere, Entebbe and Mukono. Participants worked in their respective communities to clean streets, markets and other public spaces.
From the early morning hours, members collected litter, cleared waste and helped improve the condition of their surroundings. The exercise also provided an opportunity for members from different branches to work together toward a common goal while making a positive contribution to the communities where they live and serve.
For Shincheonji Church of Jesus, community service is also an expression of faith. The church teaches that the Revealed Word of Revelation calls believers to examine and cleanse their lives of faith by holding firmly to the Word without adding to or subtracting from it. In the same spirit, believers are encouraged to unite in the Word and demonstrate that unity through practical acts of service.

The National Cleaning Day offered an opportunity to put this belief into practice. Through collective effort, participants helped improve public spaces while encouraging residents, traders and other community members to take shared responsibility for proper waste management and environmental cleanliness.
The involvement of the Nansana headquarters and eight branches highlights Shincheonji Church of Jesus Uganda's commitment to putting faith into action through service to society and initiatives that contribute to public health and community wellbeing.
