Officials from Ipsos Uganda, a public opinion and market research institute, have visited Buganda Kingdom and held talks with Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga and kingdom ministers on possible areas of partnership.
The discussions focused on research, monitoring and evaluation, as well as assessing the impact of the kingdom's development programmes.
Katikkiro Mayiga welcomed the initiative, emphasising the importance of reliable data and effective communication in understanding communities and supporting development.
"Information based on data is important in understanding our people and supporting development," Mayiga said.
The Katikkiro noted that Buganda plays an important role in Uganda's economy and promotes culture and economic development while helping connect businesses with markets.
He said the kingdom was ready to work with institutions such as Ipsos to strengthen social and economic development.
Ipsos Uganda Managing Director Ruth Ruigu said the company's 32 years of experience in Uganda put it in a strong position to support the kingdom's development programmes.
"Our focus is on improving quality and ensuring that development programmes achieve their intended objectives," Ruigu said.
Ipsos also contributed Shs1 million to the kingdom's activities through the Luwalo contribution.
