Muslims in Uganda are set to witness a new form of Islamic spiritual gathering never before seen in the country, organizers have announced.
The revelation was made today during Salam TV's breakfast meeting hosted by Twaha Mukiibi, with guests Hajjat Fatmah Sinaan Kalaad and Khalifa Harunah Abdunoor
Speaking on the program, the guests said Anasheed plays a vital role in the life of a Muslim, noting that it soothes souls, brings halal joy and relaxation, and is a natural expression of love for Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

According to the organizers, the upcoming gathering is an initiative backed by Muslims from different walks of life and is not merely about entertainment. The event will also be a platform for learning, with various Sheikhs teaching different aspects of the Quran and Hadith.
"Anyone who attends will witness a new form of Anasheed never seen before in Uganda," the guests said.
The organizers revealed that the initiative draws inspiration from Kenya, where during the month of Rabi al-Awwal, Muslims from across the country converge for gatherings featuring Anasheed, Quran recitation, and Islamic teachings.
The grand gathering will be officially launched in Uganda this Thursday, 19th September 2026. The event will feature Quran recitation by Uganda's great Sheikhs, followed by Maulid - prayers and praises upon Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
They emphasized that apart from the five pillars of Islam, Anasheed is composed and written with a rhythm that makes one sit down, refresh the mind, and simply listen.
