Talatona — The minister of mineral resources, oil and gas, Diamantino Azevedo, on Thursday (10), in Luanda, considered positive the assessment regarding the companies exhibiting at Angola Oil and Gas Conference (AOG 2026), noting the high level of local content generated within the sector.
Speaking to the press while touring the exhibition area at the 7th edition of the aforementioned event, he highlighted the presence of advanced technological solutions, particularly those from Angolan companies.
According to him, the growth of local participation in the sector is beneficial, especially in support areas such as finance, training, laboratory services, as well as environmental and social initiatives, even though the fact that it is a business activity.
"It is an answer to the sceptic, demonstrating that local content in the industry is at a high level", he stated.
Diamantino Azevedo affirmed the commitment to increasing the presence of Angolan companies, with a focus on specialized areas such as banking, as well as financial and tax systems.
He assured that the goal is to ensure that the oil sector continues to contribute to Angola's sustainable social and economic development so that the population's quality of life can be improved.
