Nairobi — For professionals wondering what their next big move should be, a leadership summit coming to Nairobi this weekend is putting one question at the centre of the conversation: What does your next breakthrough look like?
The Your Next Best Self (YNBS) Global Summit 9.0, dubbed The Breakthrough Edition, will bring together executives, entrepreneurs, professionals, emerging leaders and changemakers at the Serena Hotel, Nairobi, on Saturday, September 26.
The summit will run from 8am to 4pm, with conversations expected to focus on leadership, personal growth, relationships, purpose, business and creating lasting impact.
Now in its ninth edition, YNBS comes at a time when the world of work is changing rapidly, with technology reshaping industries and professionals being forced to rethink their skills, careers and leadership approaches.

The organisers say the summit is designed for people who are not necessarily struggling, but those asking a bigger question: How much further can I go?
The summit will explore what it means to move beyond comfort, recognise new opportunities and prepare for the next stage of life and work.
It will be anchored on four themes - Life, Love, Leadership and Legacy with keynote addresses, conversations and practical sessions on personal growth, courageous leadership, relationships and meaningful impact.
Dr Patricia Murugami, founder and CEO of Breakthrough Leadership Transformation (BLT) and convener of the summit, says the event is about more than simply attending another conference.
"This is not just another conference. It is a gathering of visionary minds, courageous leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, professionals, and change makers from across Africa who are committed to building a better future," Murugami said.
She said the conversations at this year's summit would challenge participants to rethink their next chapter.
"The conversations will be bold. The insights will be transformative. The connections will be invaluable," she said.
Organisers say some of the biggest value of the summit could happen outside the main sessions.
Participants will have opportunities to meet professionals from different industries, exchange ideas and build relationships that could lead to new opportunities.
The summit is expected to attract people from sectors including banking, insurance, telecommunications, aviation, media, education, healthcare, entrepreneurship, government and development.
BLT says the event will bring together leaders from business, law, finance, education, hospitality and other sectors.
Among the speakers announced are Dr Patricia Murugami, Mwihaki Wachira, Wairimu Njage, Joan Chesoni, Patricia Ithau, Rosemary Maina, James Kairu, George Njuguna, Raymond M., John Muthiora, Rosalyn Muthiora and Geoffrey Odundo.
This year's summit also carries special significance for BLT, which is celebrating 20 years of leadership development and organisational transformation.
Murugami recently reflected on the milestone, saying the journey had been built through the contribution of many people.
"No one is self-made. Nobody," she said while marking BLT's 20-year milestone.

She said the anniversary was an opportunity to recognise team members, partners, mentors, clients, friends and family members who had contributed to the organisation's journey.
"As we celebrate twenty years of BLT, my heart is full," Murugami said.
The summit will also feature the launch of Murugami's sixth book and the unveiling of the Breakthrough Annual Journal.
Murugami has described the summit as an opportunity for people to consider what their next season of life and leadership requires from them.
"Every meaningful breakthrough begins long before circumstances change. It begins the moment we decide to grow," she said.
BLT's latest update says the regular ticket is Sh22,500, while virtual participation is also available for international attendees.
