Uganda: Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba Donates Pickup Truck to Uganda Media Centre

The Chief of Defence Forces and Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has donated a brand new Toyota Land Cruiser pickup truck to the Uganda Media Centre (UMC).

The vehicle, which is expected to boost UMC operations, especially long distance travel across the country, was delivered on Sunday, September 20, 2026.

The vehicle was delivered on behalf of the CDF to the Executive Director of UMC, Alan Kasujja, by the Acting Director Defence Public Information, Col. Chris Magezi.

According to Col. Magezi, the donation is a demonstration of the close inter-agency cooperation in government to enhance service delivery and strengthen transparency and accountability across sectors.

"The CDF has donated this brand new utility vehicle to Uganda Media Centre to support their operations across the country. This is part of the continued inter-agency cooperation to enhance service delivery," Col. Magezi said.

He said the UPDF remains committed to supporting other government agencies in fulfilling their mandates.

Receiving the vehicle, UMC Executive Director Alan Kasujja thanked Gen. Muhoozi for the support, saying the vehicle will improve their field operations.

"We are grateful to the Chief of Defence Forces for this donation. This pickup will go a long way in boosting our operations, especially when we have to travel long distances across the country," Kasujja said.
