Fire Destroys Royal Tombs in Uganda

The royal tombs of Buganda's monarchs, considered to be a World Heritage Site, faced severe damage as the result of a mysterious fire. The tombs are the Ugandan equivalent of the Egyptian pyramids.

Fire engulfed the main building housing the mausoleums of four former Buganda kings (Kabakas), leaving it in ruins.
