George Clooney, Church Leaders Raise Sudan Alarm
An ecumenical delegation of Sudanese religious leaders is visiting New York and Washington, DC this week to express its fear of what might happen if the January independence referendum in the south is delayed. Actor George Clooney and activist groups have joined in the call for more 'robust' diplomacy by the United States and the international community as negotiations aimed at resolving outstanding issues have stalled.
