There were educational exhibits showing the production of rubber from the planting of rubber tree seeds all the way to the harvesting of raw latex. This exhibit shows stages in the production of high yield stock trees to replace the aging and neglected stocks that are so common in the country today.
The minister of forestry and mines has said that over 44 million trees will be planted countrywide in the tree planting week slated to be launched in November 2010. Read more »
