WikiLeaks Opens Window on Tanzanian Corruption

Tanzania has been pulled into the WikiLeaks web of revelations by a cable saying that anti-corruption boss Edward Hoseah told an American diplomat that his life was under threat and that corrupt senior politicians were untouchable.

One of the scandals the cable referred to involved the sale of an overpriced radar system to the Tanzania government by Britain’s largest arms company, BAE.
