South Africa to Host World Water Day 2011

Cape Town has been selected as the designated global focal point for this year's United Nations sponsored World Water Day on the 22nd of March.

South Africa faces serious threats from its scarce water supplies.

More than 88% of the population now have access to water,

But more than 40% do not have access to formal sanitation.
