Call For IMF Chief To Be From Developing Nation

South Africa, as a member of the International Monetary Council, has called for a candidate from a developing country to be given the opportunity to be the Managing Director.

Former finance minister for South Africa Trevor Manuel has been mooted as a candidate for the position of IMF chief.
