United Nations Considers Arms Embargo on Somalia

The United Nations is actively considering an air and sea blockade of Somalia, it has emerged after a Security Council delegation had talks with the African Union in Addis Ababa. The AU and East African leaders have long advocated the embargo to prevent foreign arms and fighters from fuelling the Somali conflict.
