South Africa's Oppenheimers Bow Out of Diamonds

Anglo American, the former South African company which now has its primary listing in London, has offered $5.1 billion for the legendary Oppenheimer family's share of the De Beers diamond mining and selling business. The government of Botswana also has an option to buy some of the shares.
