South Sudan Clamps Down on Journalists

Pressure is growing on the government to release two independent journalists who have been illegally imprisoned over a column critical of President Salva Kiir.

Journalist Ngor Garang was arrested on Wednesday 2 November.

South Sudan became an independent country on July 9, 2011.
