Funding Slows Africa's Digital Migration Rollout

A summit on digital migration has heard that most African countries are facing financial hurdles and social problems in their quest to move to a digital broadcasting system.

As the country prepares for digital migration, more Pay Tv companies are getting attracted to the local market to tap the virgin industry.

Trying to get a signal: The disadvantage of analogue TV is that one has to use aerials and the pictures are not as clear.

There is need for the government to work with stakeholders so as to realise the 2012 migration deadline.
