South Africa's Public Broadcaster in Trouble
The chairperson of the South African Broadcasting Corporation board Ben Ngubane and his deputy Thami ka Plaatjie have resigned. The resignations come as Communications Minister Dina Pule, who has since appealed for them to withdraw their resignations, appealed for the board to resolve its internal disagreements. The broadcaster has been embroiled in a crisis for a number of years.
