Africa Continues Steady Progress on MDGs

The United Nation's 2013 Millennium Development Goals Report finds that Sub-Saharan Africa has made steady progress for its 1 billion people with fewer mothers and children dying, broadened access to health and education services, and a drop in malaria and tuberculosis deaths.

After testing positive for malaria, a Zambian woman is given antimalarial medication and a bednet. A new UN report says Sub-Saharan Africa has made progress in reducing the number of malaria deaths in the region.
