Egypt Shuts Down Several TV Stations

The Egyptian authorities have shut down four TV stations, including the local arm of Al Jazeera, for "threatening national peace and spreading lies and false information". Media groups have condemned the killings of several journalists in the wake of the violent crackdowns on protesters supporting ousted President Mohamed Mursi.
