Liberian Oil 'Protected for Next Generation'

Robert Sirleaf, the son of Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, recently resigned as chair of the board of the National Oil Company of Liberia (Nocal) after nearly two years in the post. Sirleaf said his mandate had been to seek out the best international expertise to help negotiate with exploration companies and to craft legislation to regulate the oil and gas sector that will benefit the country's people. In an interview, he told AllAfrica that those aims had been achieved.
