Ethiopia Accused of Using Terror Act to Silence Critics

Two imprisoned journalists have appealed to the African Human Rights Commission, saying their prosecution by the government under anti-terror laws violates their right to freedom of expression, and to a fair trial.

Journalist Reeyot Alemu, currently serving a five-year jail term in Ethiopia, was awarded the Guillermo Cano World Press Freedom Prize for 2013.
