Calls for Calm Follow Nigeria Election Postponement

Top contenders and international organisations have appealed for a peaceful response to the announcement of postponed elections in Nigeria. Election Commission Chairman Attahiru Jega said postponement was necessary because the nation's security agencies indicated that they are not available to support the polling while engaged in a special operations against Boko Haram insurgents in the north eastern corridors of the country.
