Malawians Boycott South African Shops

Malawi activists declared a "Black Friday" in Blantyre and Lilongwe and forced a number of South African-owned chain stores to close, in a protest against attacks on Malawian migrants in South Africa.

Some social grant beneficiaries struggled to access their money as post office workers continued their strike over wages.
