South Africa's Official Opposition Elects Black Leader

"If you don't see that I'm black, then you don't see me," says the first black leader of South Africa's Official Opposition in Parliament. But, he added in a speech accepting election, "this doesn't mean our skin colour must define us forever."

Mmusi Maimane, seen on the campaign trail, has been elected leader of South Africa's Democratic Alliance, which as the second biggest party is the Official Opposition in Parliament.
