Burundi's Endless Exodus - Effects of Conflict and Displacement

Over 110,000 Burundians have fled their country amid protests and an attempted coup d'etat. Of the thousands who have fled in recent weeks, more than half have arrived in neighbouring Tanzania. Unfortunately, displacement is nothing new for the people of Burundi.

Once Burundian refugees arrive in Tanzania, they queue for transport to the temporary transit camp at the Lake Tanganyika Stadium.
