A Kenyan Mother's Fight to Save Her Community from Lead Poisoning
Phyllis Omido dubbed the "East African Erin Brockovich", was awarded the prestigious Goldman Environmental Prize for her organizing work to shut down a polluting lead smelting plant in the Owino Uhuru slum, near Mombasa.
