East African Leaders, Obama Give South Sudan an Ultimatum

East African leaders, joined by President Barack Obama, have told the warring leaders of South Sudan that if they fail to conclude a peace deal by August 17, "greater pressure" will be applied to force them to do so. Options discussed ranged from applying sanctions to sending in a "regional intervention force", according to Reuters.
