Nigeria: Saraki Hands Ministerial List; Buhari Convenes Cabinet

Nigeria's Senate President Bukola Saraki paid a visit to President Mohammad Buhari to deliver the final list of 36 ministerial nominees the upper house confirmed, the latest in a vote Tuesday morning. Welcoming the Senate action, Buhari said the Presidency would now proceed to assign portfolios to each.He said he was required by the Constitution to name one minister from each of the 36 states, "but the constitution did not say I must have 36 ministries." Some of the 36 of expected to be named minister of state or deputy to a full minister.
