Top Think Tank Expands Collaboration with African Universities

The Economic Commission of Africa (ECA), the think tank of record on matters pertaining to African development, is expanding its collaboration with African universities. Recently, the commission signed a MoU with Hawassa University, Ethiopia, while the African Institute for Economic Development and Planning (IDEP), a sub programme of the ECA, launched of a joint two-year MPHIL degree programme in Industrial Policy with the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. Speaking at the launch of the joint two-year MPHIL degree programme in Industrial Policy with the University of Johannesburg, Dr. Karima Bounemra Ben Soltane, Director of IDEP, highlighted the pivotal role that Industrialisation should plan in Africa’s development agenda.
