Senegalese Troops Enter Gambia's Capital

The convoy of armoured personnel carriers and support vehicles made its way to State House and was greeted by cheering supporters. The military initiative aims to ensure that the anticipated arrival of President Adama Barrow goes smoothly.

Gambia's army chief, General-Ousman-Badjie, had earlier been quoted as saying that his men will not fight the Senegalese.
