South Africa: Govt Offers Marikana Victims, Families U.S.$86 Million

Government has offered the families and victims of the Marikana massacre just over R1.1bn in compensation, Parliament heard on Wednesday. Read more »
The state has also agreed to pay for the psychological evaluation of those families that suffered emotional trauma due to the loss of family members during the 2012 Marikana shooting.
