Ex-Zimbabwean Football Club Owner Phiri Jailed Over Child Support

Growing numbers of fathers are being sent to prison for missed child maintenance payments, prompting complaints that the sentences are unreasonable as they hinder any chance of fathers supporting their children. The recent being the former CAPS United owner, Twine Phiri, who was sentenced to four months imprisonment for failing to pay maintenance for his two children.
