22-year-old Karabo Mokoena was murdered and her remains burned in an open field allegedly by her boyfriend, 27-year-old Sandile Mantsoe after a violent argument. The Minister of Women, Susan Shabangu has said in an interview "that whilst Karabo came across as very strong, she was weak and hence became a victim of abuse'."
