What is Happening With South Africa's Official Opposition Party?

This weekend saw an announcement by the Democratic Alliance, led Mmusi Maimane, that the party is suspending DA Western Cape leader (and the former party leader) Helen Zille for her refusal to apologise for March 16 tweets saying "not all colonialism was bad". Zille replied by saying the party had not followed procedure, and questioned her suspension in a hard-hitting statement. Now the DA seems to have backed down...
