Controversy Over Hijabs, Headscarves at South African Schools

The Western Cape Education Department has instructed the principal of a special needs school to allow a Muslim pupil to wear a hijab - this comes after the Gauteng Education Department announced that claims of Muslim girls needing permission to wear headscarves at another high school would be investigated.
