Civil society organisations, social movements and ordinary Zimbabweans have taken to Twitter to commemorate the disappearance of human rights activist Itai Dzamara on a day that marks his 38th birthday. Dzamara staged a series of anti-Mugabe protests before his disappearance on the 9th of March 2015. His family believes the state may have played a role in his disappearance.
