Hands Off Surveyed Villages, Tanzanian Govt Tells Local Leaders

The government has banned local government leaders from splitting up villages which have already been surveyed and granted village land certificates. Land, Housing and Human Settlements Development Minister William Lukuvi said that the splitting up of villages was preventing effective land administration.
