Kenyan Court Blocks Parts of Law on MPs' Immunity, Privileges
Justice John Mativo has suspended sections of the 2017 Parliamentary Powers and Privileges Act, recently signed into law by President Uhuru Kenyatta. This follows an application by lawyer Apollo Mboya, who is challenging the law that he says grants lawmakers - including Members of the County Assemblies - 'super immunity.'
