Observers, Envoys Caution Against Kenya's Election Law Review
While poking holes at some of the changes contained in the Election Laws (Amendment) Bill and the Election Offences (Amendment) Bill, the European Union observer mission says proceeding to pass the proposals before the October polls would be a highly problematic process, with changes being extremely controversial. Diplomats have also asked the president and the opposition National Super Alliance presidential candidate, Raila Odinga, to stop playing political games and undermining the electoral commission ahead of the repeat elections.
