Mugabe Orders Crackdown on Street Vendors

President Robert Mugabe has ordered a crackdown on poor citizens eking a living out of street vending in most of the country's major cities, 12 years after a similar exercise left multitudes without livelihoods or homes. The vendors have vowed to stay put until government has created the 2,2 million jobs it promised in the run-up to the 2013 elections.
