Why Africans Are Airing Their Leaders' 'Dirty' Laundry On Twitter

It all started when one online user Princess Ife, shared a picture of a man whom she identified as her senator, wearing a skinny jeans and a T-shirt with red sneakers. Other Twitter users have since joined in by sharing pictures of some of their leaders, criticising their dress sense.

"This is not Rick Ross this is the governor of Kenya second largest city....Mombasa", @ndaruga_

"This Member of Parliament in Uganda is fairly becoming our presidential hopeful", @TKakiya.

"This man here is the mayor of my city Lusaka", @Edward_Mwale.

"As South Africans we would help, but we have our hands full with our president" @Sbudah.

"Wish I could, but this man right here is the Governor of my county, Nairobi", @robby_masha.

"This man right here, is a senator in my country" @ife_luv12.
