Mugabe Meets Army Boss, Envoys Amid Calls for His Resignation

Opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai has returned to Harare and says President Robert Mugabe must step down immediately to pave the way for a transitional mechanism to take Zimbabwe to a new dispensation. Mugabe, meanwhile, has met with South African envoys and with army chief General Constantino Chiwenga amid speculation that an exit plan is being negotiated.
