Chicago Afrobeat Project released What Goes Up with the 77-year-old co-founder of Afrobeat, drummer Tony Allen, a few months ago. Allen, born in Lagos, speaks about how he pioneered the genre in a hybrid live-action/animated short highlighting their intergenerational and cross-cultural collaboration.
