Is Nigeria's East-West Road Construction Finally On Right Path?

The road project that was earmarked for construction in 2006, was designed to link all major oil towns, from Oron, Uyo to Calabar and the Atlantic Ocean, up to Itu and Eket in Akwa Ibom, Port Harcourt and Ahoada in Rivers State, Kaiama in Bayelsa State and Warri in Delta State, up to Benin. The project that has been plagued by financial irregularities and political disputes, was never completed. The government has now committed to the completion of the road.
