Rwandan Journalists Welcome Move to Decriminalise Defamation
Under the proposed Penal Code that was approved for debate in parliament in October 2017, media practitioners would face up to seven years in prison sentence or a fine of over U.S.$8,000 (Rwf7 million) if found guilty.
