How Ugandan Accountant's Death Came Back to Haunt Boda Boda Group

The dramatic arrest of Abdallah Kitatta and 28 others has renewed interest in the savage killing of Francis Ekalungar, former Kampala hospital accountant. Ekalungar's badly burned body was found dumped on January 2 but a police investigation seemed to come to a standstill. There were indications that the Boda Boda 2010 group, headed by Kitatta, might be involved - but Kitatta had the protection of the police, a source has told The Observer newspaper. And then the military stepped in.
