Jubilee Party's Francis Mureithi who lost the August 8, 2017 election to his rival Paul Ongili, also known as Babu Owino, of the Orange Democratic Movement has challenged Ongili's win, saying there were various sets of results contained in the polling forms and that it was difficult to determine who won the race.
